About Us
FemPowered was born out of a wish. A group of women who each were involved in motorsports in their own way but wished there was a community to meet others like them. So over mimosas one summer day, FemPowered was born.
Our goal is to create the women’s motorsport community that we were looking for. A place for all women, from the diehard weekend track warrior to the casually interested fledgling. A place to meet others like them, to learn from others, and most importantly, a place where we belong and are not alone.
Each of us realized how lucky we were to have either grown up around motorsports or had the support structure in place to start our journey. But many women are not so lucky. For these women, FemPowered will be there for them. We will guide them, support them, and show them the path. And when they are ready to make their own path, we will still be there.
Nancy
Hello! My name is Nancy, I drive a 981 Cayman GT4, and I’m a track addict. I’ve always had a strong draw towards motorsports, yet never had the opportunity to fully embrace it until several years ago. Now that I have kids, of course I have all the time in the world. 🤔
FemPowered aims to be the friendly, inclusive, and supportive community of kick-ass women I wish I had much earlier on. So grab your keys and get your butt out there with us! My current track of choice is Sonoma Raceway, but you can find me at any of the NorCal tracks. Just look for the dirtiest Porsche there, and say hi!
Erika
Hi! 👋🏻 I’m Erika and this is Natasha – my ‘16 BMW M2. (Natasha Romanov of Black Widow fame 🤓)
I’ve always appreciated cars and liked driving, but never did any formal driving events until the BMW CCA (Golden Gate Chapter) Women’s Motorsports Day in 2016 and I’ve been hooked ever since!
As I started doing autocross and track events, I had tons of questions, but had to do a decent amount of digging to find answers. My hope for FemPowered is that it can be the resource and community that I wish I had when I started.
Rhoda
My name is Rhoda and I drive a 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S. I’ve always had an intense appreciation for high performance cars and as a track newbie with a handful of track days under my belt, I’m honored to have the opportunity to help jump start this amazing collective of strong and dynamic women who share a love for cars, speed and adventure.
When we first gathered, we did so with the intention to build an inclusive community for badass women to feel empowered and supported as they pursue their passion in motorsports. FemPowered was born out of this shared passion. Whether it’s through following us here or joining us at our upcoming events, we’d love to welcome you to ride along with us on this journey!
If you see RHODIZZ tooling around the Bay, throw out a ✌🏻and say hi!
Jeanie
A bright flash of color (or carbon fiber) may catch one’s eye, or the thundering engine roars may pique one’s interest, but the glorious feeling of hitting those apexes and flying down the straightaway, will keep one coming back for more!
From this need for thrills, grew our excitement. Through our enthusiasm and collaboration, FemPowered was born.
Whether one’s new to the tracking world, or have spent many years driving “the line”, this is our place to share and gain knowledge, experience and confidence. Come join our events, both on and off track!
I’m Jeanie. I track a 2018 BMW M4 Competition. Oh yes, in Yas Marina Blue! I’ve always loved anything with a motor. It all started on my Dad’s tractor, then to off-roading ATV’s, flying powered hang gliders… and now, my love for the ///M, and other amazing cars!
If you see me, stop by to say, “Hi!” I’ll either be dining, traveling or tracking, and will always have time to meet more amazing, powerful femmes! 🏎
Rebecca
My name is Rebecca and I drive a 2015 Scion FRS on track! I have been interested in cars for a very long time and, thanks to my amazing partner, I’ve been encouraged to nurture that interest into me finally learning to drive manual, buying a manual car, and finally taking my dive into motorsports! I’ve been hitting the local NorCal tracks for about two years now and I cannot overstate how much fun I’ve been having!
I’m excited about FemPowered because I want to see more ladies out on the track and Fempowered’s goal is to help women take that (sometimes intimidating) leap into the world of motorsports!
Stay tuned for information in general and on when and where we’ll be holding events and reserving ladies only run groups with our local organizations!
